职位描述:       POSITION : RESERVATION MANAGER
      DEPARTMENT: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
      REPORTS TO: REVENUE MANAGER
      
      SUMMARY :
      Maximizing occupancy / room rate at all times through implementing an effective rate / selling strategy and maintaining a consistently high standard of operation customer service within the group and individual reservations department, has a direct line of authority over all reservations sales agents within the hotel and a liaison role with sales and all other departments.
      
      RESPONSIBILITIES:
      Reservation Operation:
      -Ensure the department operates with a sales attitude and all personnel are aware of sales opportunities within the hotel, which will assist with the maximization of hotel revenue.
      -Supervise the taking of reservations and operating systems in accordance with company standards.
      -Ensure the well-being of all reservations departmental personnel, compile departmental working schedules
      -Ensure all no shows are followed up and revenue is collected.
      -Ensure all discounts given and rebated room revenue is authorized and correct.
      -Deal with any guest/agent/company complaints received to the hotel management pertaining to bookings, rates and no show.
      
      System Maintenance:
      -Maintain accuracy of all reservations and other data
      -Conduct quality control checks on all revenue management systems to ensure data accuracy.
      -Maintain accurate ongoing records of controls applied to all systems.
      -Ensure all allotments and allocations are set up and recorded correctly
      -Ensure that all the rates are loaded by accurate completion of all rate databases
      -Maintain and update all profiles, histories and marketing database.
      -Ensure all refused/cancel/waitlisted business is recorded with reason of refusal / cancellation and that all details are followed up and actioned.
      -Be responsible for maintaining the interface between Hilstar and Fidelio to ensure seamless rate availability and matching room availability.
      
      Availability Management:
      -Confirm availability controls and overbooking decisions with Revenue Manager.
      -Maintain a consistent selling strategy across Fidelio Front Office, GEM and Hilstar,
      -Pro-active availability management recommending necessary strategy changes
      -Ensure availability is reviewed as per required standards and all restrictions are recorded.
      -To ensure selling strategy is communicated to all members of the team.
      -Be responsible for all free sale availability.
      
      Commercial awareness:
      -Monitor competitor’s performance and check competitor strategy on a regular basis to
      -Ensure correct selling strategies are applied.
      
      Revenue Analysis:
      -Report and analyze all room revenue and business trends and production results.
      -Assist Revenue Manager in preparation of monthly forecasts, statistics, reports and basic budgeting as may be required.
      
      Communication:
      -Takes responsibilities for all departments errors and problems and rectify.
      -Maintain close liaison with the groups and event department to ensure all group/tour conference and banqueting business is up to date and recorded accurately and rates/volumes quoted are within planned selling strategy.
      -Develop and maintain a high level of communication with all major sources of business and all international and national sales offices and Hilton worldwide reservations offices and advice Revenue Manager of any feedback.
      -Ensure regular communications meetings are hold within the Reservation Team.
      -Advice Revenue Manager of any changes or trends relating to business and department
      -Undertake duties / assignments as directed by the Revenue Manager
      
      Team Management:
      -Implement a full training plan within the Reservations team to develop all Team Members to their full potential
      -Actively develop Team Members skills and performance through coaching and training.
      -Carry out all interviews for prospective reservations sales agents, ensure departmental orientation is carried out for new members of the team and supervise training, training schedules, records and corrective/re-training.
      -Conduct Annual Appraisals with all Team Members as means of motivation and development
      -Responsible for the management of Health and Safety within the Reservation Department as a whole and responsible for carrying out all necessary requirements pertaining to such.
      
      OTHER:
      -Schedule annual leaves during low demand periods to maximize payroll savings.
      -Adhere to the company credit policies to ensure all revenue expected will be received.
      -Comply with all company policies relating to reservations
      -Comply with all systems and procedures as laid down by Revenue Manager
      -Comply with Company Health & Safety, and Fire Regulations and procedures.
      
      SPECIFICATIONS:
      -Familiar with Hotel Reservation Systems
      -Familiar with hotel product
      -Familiar with hotel rules & regulations (Incl. Emergency procedure)
      -Willing to take responsibility
      -Fluent in speaking and written English & Chinese
      -Good at operating office machines
      -Be able to attend to detail
      -Strong selling & communication skill
      -With Managing Skills
